Hi there!

This will be my last entry in this forum while I just sold my Leon.
In 9 months time I've been to my Seat dealer 10 times and my car was in for 13 days in total.

Now all the problems are finally solved but the fun is gone and also is my trust in Seat.

All I wanted is a car with Italian looks and German engineering, but when I look back over the last nine months I would have been better off buying an Italian car in the first place.

I think that Seat has a good designer and good components (VW) to choose from but screwing the thing together is a whole different story.

If you read this and are about to buy a Leon (or any other Seat for this matter) think twice.
Chances are you 'll end up with a very unhealthy relationship with your Seat service manager.

And talking about Seat dealers, although the cars are from the 20th century, the dealerships are still from the days when Seats were cheap Fiat sidekicks.

My new car? Not a VW product I can insure you.

Scot.

Ps. Herr Dr.F.Piech, next time we meet I would like to kiss you, because when I get fucked I would also like to kiss.

I find it rather disappointing that you are not willing to give Seat a second chance... :(

The Leon has no severe quality problems. Your car may prove something else but this does not reflect the general opinion and experiences in this forum. It sounds hard but your Leon was one of the few and unique so called "monday-cars" (in Germany we have an expression called "Montagsauto", what basically means that the respetive car has too many "mistakes").

I think Seat would have deserved a second chance, sadly you're not willing to give them this chance...

I don't know the British laws, but at least in Germany there exists something that's called "Wandlung" (I have no english word for that sorry), what means that you can give the car back and get a new one when the old car has had problems the dealer wasn't able to fix within a couple of tries...

"I think Seat would have deserved a second chance, sadly you're not willing to give them this chance... "

They had 10 chances in 9 months, after how many chances would you feel stupid?

Lucky for Seat there are still owners like you, who don't want to see the flaws and like the close relationship with the dealership.
Mind me, there are also people wo like to be spanked by a whip, also not my cup of thee.

No thanks, enough is enough and Í'm now gowing out for a drive in my new, shiny and most important, dry car.

Cheers

Let´s wait, until a new italian car brakes down after 2 years :D

I also have some problems with my Leon, but my dealer has a very good garage, whitch was able to fix all my problems until now.

So i will have fun with my Leon for quite a long time :D

@Scott
Good luck with your new car. Maybe u´ll return in a few months..... :D ;)

Well Scott, I understand why you sold your Leon. As Matthias allready said, you had no luck with your car. Most users like their Leon and have just a few or no problems with it.
That you will or cannot give Seat a second chance for the moment seems clear to me.
So, goodbye Scot. Maybe one day you'll get back to Seat....

wie kann man nur so engstirnig sein.... :angry: :angry:

würd allzu gern wissen was du dir jetz kaufst...ROVER????? :vomit: :vomit: :vomit:

(siehe Dauertest Jaguar S-Type in AutoBild)

@DoppelteGlasur

Ich finde, sowas ist nicht nötig!!!! :angry:

No reason to get personal Doppelteglazur, and by the way Seat is Spanish.

By the way, because of us you can drive a car of your choice, remember.

@DoppelteGlasur,

mußte das sein ??? ?(

You are absolutely right, once again you can see that one annoying comment can damage the apperance of a whole community.

@Scot

Seems you had a lot of bad luck with your car, some of us dont. Still, on a general level I think there are quite a lot of problems in the VW cars. This comes mainly from the arrogant approach of the mass car manufactures. They spend more time in thinking about global growing and getting market share instead of satisfying customers. But this is not only the case for VW; this is the same for all mass car manufacturers. So you definitely will have problems with any car you get below 50000€.

@scot

for me Seat is a german car!! only built in spain...like VW Polo and Sharan!!

@doppelteglasur

Bis dann,
Johannes

@Johannes

I can read German so please use any language you prefer, I can adapt.

Don't forget, I owned 6 VW's and 3 Seats before so it was not easy for me to trow in the towel

@scot

  • Bye bye Leon Beitrag #18
With some of them, some rust on a 2 year old Ibiza and a Golf GTI with a mind of it's own, but in general I loved these cars, especially my Golf V5 and my wife's Arosa.

I have been in Germany a lot and used to drive them at full speed for hours, even the Arosa was a lot of fun on the Autobahn.

So you must understand my dissapointment, I spend loads of money on these cars over the years and when I needed something back (like good customer support) they where not at home.
